9/8/15
We hope everyone had a fun and relaxing Labor Day Weekend :) The 3/4 team missed our students and can’t wait to continue our work together!
*Save the date: Open House Wednesday September 9th, 2015 from 5:30-7:00. We hope to see you there!*
Homework: Students were given homework packets for the week. They contain math and reading assignments. On average students should be doing homework for about 30 minutes a night. Students can approach their teachers during morning work time if they need assistance on certain problems. Homework is due Friday the 11th.
Math: 3rd graders are working on addition strategies and place value concepts this week. The class has reviewed adding one and zero to numbers, as well as how to make ten.
4th graders are working reviewing multiplication and place value skills.
Reading: The teachers will be conducting the F&P reading assessments this week. Students will be asked to read a passage aloud, and then answer some questions on what they have read. Students should not stress about these assessments. They are designed to give teachers the just right reading level for a child. They do not set children up to fail.
