In 3rd/4th grade, we value project-based learning as a way to integrate social studies and science into our curriculum. To kick-off our Native American unit this semester, we have organized a field trip to the Pavilion Building in downtown Montpelier. We will be looking at the Freedom and Unity exhibits.
We have sent home permission slips. This is a FREE field trip for students. Please indicate if you need the school to provide a lunch for your child. Your child's homeroom teacher will receive the completed forms. Thank you!
We appreciate the supportive parent group we have this year! This trip is a half-day excursion with a tight schedule. There is limited space in the Abenaki wigwam, thus why we didn't request chaperones for this trip. However, if you have a strong desire to accompany us, please feel free to notify your child's homeroom teacher.
